Curriculum Vitae - Fabiana Pastorini

Fabiana Pastorini was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina). She began her first dance studies at the age of nine in the National Ballet School. At the same time she attended and attended high school as well as a college where she graduated with a major in teaching .

After graduation she specialized in modern dance and studied with Freddy Romero. At the same time she studied and graduated with a law degree from the National University of Buenos Aires.

She danced with the modern company, “Quasars”, until 1988 when she went to New York to study Graham technique at the Martha Graham School, as well as Horton Technique and Jazz at the Alvin Ailey American School.

From New York she went to Germany and began to teach dance and work on different projects.

In 1991 she met Ismael Ivo and was his assistant in teaching and choreographing.

Since 1992 she has lived in Vienna and choreographed and taught for the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera, the Conservatory of the City of Vienna, the Ballet Seminar in Wolfsegg, Dance for Europe in Vienna, Bratislava and Györ, the Vienna Dance Weeks and other dance institutes.

Her studies in kinesiology and integrative breathing led her to the development of her own “Dance for Health” technique. This unique system aims to make a person to pay attention to themselves, and thereby prevent injuries and sickesses, but also to promote self awareness and to help the quality of one´s life.
