Dancing in the Andes 22.03.12 till 07.04.12

Easter Program 2012 (March 22 – April 7, 2012)

Thanks to the donation from the group last year for the Inti Ayllu of Villa Florida, it was possible to run water from its source to the spiritual center.

Experience this unique combination of dance, perception and experience of self in another part of the earth, A very impressive and most exceptional area of spiritual force and strength.

You arrive in Buenos Aires on March 23, 2012. After getting used to the new city and the area we invite you to a city tour, that you can obtain the knowledge and useful information from a native travel guide. With this information you have the next day free to enjoy the flair of this metropole yourself – for example you can visit a Milonga and try a tango course.

On the journey to San Salvador de Jujuy in the north of Argentina you will observe on the horizon mountains growing out of the austere landscape and discover the colors of these mountains. This picturesque landscape will prepare you for new feelings of life in the coming days. In these days you thoughts and contemplation will be awakened in many different ways. On this first afternoon there will be the first session of Dance for Health with Fabiana. In the next days there will be Dance for Health sessions with Fabiana in different places and at different times of the day on the program.

Another highlight of our program is the visit to a place of spiritual strength and energy, INTI AYLLU. There you will be allowed to take part in a fire ceremony with the Ayllu participants. It is possible that we will stay overnight in this place of strength and energy. The next day is a hike to a waterfall, where there is a water ceremony. You will be allowed to take part in this unusual ceremony, in which the people of the Puna Region come together to thank Grandmother Water as the source of life.

After a day of rest in order to allow the experiences of these ceremonies to integrate themselves deeper, we hike the next day to Garganta del Diable, a 14 meter waterfall. And also there we will work with Fabiana – breathing exercises, stretching, and dancing.

On the following day we hike to a cave with prehistorique drawings. Here is again an ideal place for dancing. Afterwards we visit the city of Humahuace, a small city in colonial style.

After another day of an intensive dance program surrounded by the multi-colored cliffs and deep blue sky in our lodgings, “Cabanas Cerro Chico”,  we will visit the next day the picturesque village Pumamarca with its famous Cerro de 7 colores, the mountain of 7 colors. And from there we travel to Salar Grande (salt lake) over a pass with an altitude of 4170 meters. Our meditation and dancing by this salt lake will form an unforgettable moment in our lives.

Our stay in Ticara comes now slowly to an end, but on this day you will have another highpoint, the pilgrimage of the saints from Copacabana. The hike begins very early so that we can experience the procession at sunrise. We will accompany the native people until we go back down the mountain. We conclude with a festival and evening meal in the village of Ticara.

After a final session of Dance for Healt we are ready to return to Buenos Aires. After transferring to San Salvador de Jujuy we fly back to Buenos Aires, where our last meal together is organized. The next day in Buenos Aires you will have the freedom to see the city on your own.

You will arrive home and find that you will continue to profit from this dance journey. Allow yourself this adventure. It will enrich your life.
